Tinted Green Eyes

Tinted Green Eyes

A Poem by chandlerl

The streets are crowded
as people pass.
All smiles- all love.
Do they have no shame?
No consideration, for the people alone?
Watching with bitterness and longing?
I suppose I was like that to.
I wonder, if someone looked on me
with the same green eyes, of jealousy.

Its true, we rarely put ourselves in the place of someone lower than us (emotionally or economically) until we are there ourselves.

Truth.
This was a good read.

A raw statement. Powerful and short.
Well done.

Interesting poem. One thing I prefer in my poems, instead of using commas I move the words to the next line or use enjambment. Though, this is just a preference. Keep writing!
