The Night Flight

The Night Flight

A Poem by darkmusicbaby88

The night is warm and calm

I lay on my bed, waiting, feeling breathless anticiaption

I can hardly make my lungs work, as if I have run a marathon in the hot sun

Why can't he hurry, light speed would not seem fast enough at this point

Finally... I think I hear a stiring

A soft even tap on the window, like some magical fairy prince come to wisk me away

I slowly slide the window open

He is here to take transport me to our whimsical world

SO far away from reality

Off we walk hand in hand

As we near the street we take a running leap and

Fly into the night

Oh the feeling, as the clouds rush by

Why can't we be forever together in the sky?
