Living In Your Memory

I wrote this poem a few years ago for a girl a cared deeply for.

Bright sun and a clear blue sky
Oh how I wish I could fly

For if I could I'd be free

A bird without a worry

I can longer pretend

For someday there'll be an end

Do you have a hand to lend
Because you are my best friend

It's now time for you to know

I hope that you'll never go

Even though it might not show

I will fight off every foe

To the world I send a dove

But it comes back with a shove

Shadows from clouds above

Everyone could use some love

Now I say this as I sigh

Time for me to say good bye

Know that this is not a lie

I promise I'll never die

Living in your memory

As this poems making you see

If I change remember me
