Rants & Ravings

Rants and ravings

Chocolate cravings

Won’t eat my savings

Won’t trim my shavings

Won’t let me jump past candle sticks

To teach old dogs

Young kitten tricks

Won’t make me slick

Or make me sick

Or coffee-craving lunatic.

Over and over you shout Red Rover

Like I have time for four leaf clovers

Or chasing down a Piping Plover

Or playing chess with blue man Grover

When playing games turns me bust

Risk, Monopoly flashing rust

Young flukes leave me eating dust

My soul-less fiends so hard to trust

To put it plain I won’t be rushed

I won’t be shoved and won’t be pushed

Not even trussed or simply flushed

No Nike Swoosh to leave me whooshed

Around these rooms I’ll dance a jig

Your upturned nose don’t care a fig

I’d partner with a parsley sprig

And do my thing. " it’s what I dig

I’ll do it right come pig or prig.
