Frozen time In the flatness of time as we give our bags to redcap hands submit to TSA procedures hurry to gate 4 to wait for boarding we feel dimension’s warp. Time follows us in slo-mo scanning entry passes in single file limbo walk, carry-ons instead of poles until we reach seventeen and slo-mo grinds to no-mo then we reverse, the jet’s computer aching for reboot a mechanic’s kind word a home cooked meal a technical massage to shift time back ahead. And time tries its best to move forward apace but only grasps the future’s shredding hem before tech glitch spins us back to limbo space again this time flipping us out the gate baggage and all in frozen time space with an earnest promise on its chapped lips to start again tomorrow. © 2008 David P.
