Frost’s Fork Revisited: Some Questions

And what of those

who reached Frost’s fabled fork,

but trod that oft travelled path?

Did they look longingly

as the fork faded back,

knowing that chancy road

forever gone from reach?

Or were they glad

sharing compn’y

with like-minded friends

along life’s Main Street?

And was it the last

fork in their lives,

or the lone roadway

to some destiny?

Could such write

some masterpiece

yet earn a steady check,

and still coach

Little League?

We all make choices, sure,

but there lie many roads.

I liked this honest and steady firm voice you put through the poem. You have so many things you speak about, the road, the way we travel, will we miss our other path, will we be able to still coach little league... It's like mind bending into other worlds and sects. Very nice.
