Shark Smiles

Shark Smiles

A Poem by David P. Eckert
"

A perhaps sardonic take on sharks in lamb clothing.

"

Shark Smiles

Sharks don’t smile

                        dishonestly -

more a toothy grim

                        determination

to tear you limb

                        from limb,

their cards ever lain

                        upon some table;

honesty as

                        policy.

They cruise while

                        sharks

in lamb’s

                        clothing

throw a wooly smile

                        across your eyes,

drawn close as they

                        sniff

a whiff

                        of blood.

Hey Kufu was nice! I liked this as well. The actual name attracked me. It's funny, you will see the Chesser Cat from Alice and Wonderland on mySpace. I am always smiling, and I have been deemed as the Chesser cat. This piece however, is very to the point with imagery of an attack. Great piece.
