Lost Love

Lost Love

A Poem by Amber

Tears pour down her face
as she watches the rainfall outside
the cold, desolate night
a reflection of her pain.
How a bright sunny day,
warm and enchanting,
can change in the span
of a heartbeat,
she doesn't know...
She's empty,
and alone
mesmerized by the turmoil
of the storm,
of her emotions.
She takes a deep breath
enforcing the stone wall inside
and
is led away by hollow dreams
until the waking of reality
begins another haunted day.

I really, really like this one. I'm sure it is written from a dark place, but it's good imagery!

until the waking of reality
begins another haunted day."

Well written!
