foster care

foster care

A Poem by dbooker
"

this deals with my young childhood when i was in foster care and how it frighten me

"
eleven year old me,
in foster care.
without the slightest clue why,
i was treated unfair.

cleaning there house,
walking there pet.
one made fun of me,
without any regret.

they said it was temporary,
i had a little faith.
but after a year past,
i felt i couldn't escape.

in the room with no lights,
i lay in the pitch black night.
i held my toy really tight,
as i shake with fear and fright.

I was in foster care too, and I understand you completely. Your writing is very powerful.

The last stanza is almost haunting. A few minor mistakes but this is a very expressive piece.
