Who Am I to Question You

Who Am I to Question You

A Poem by Donald Cole

Who am I to question you
In this humble life I lead
I'd only want to follow you
In thought, in word, in deed
How could I look any farther
Yet human that I am
And taking you for granted
In the wisdom of Your plan
How is it I could settle
For less than you my king
To whom I owe the glory
And praises do I sing
My mind surely does wander
My feeble heart is weak
My love in no way can compare
To the Lord of whom I speak
How would I deny me
Just to live my life away
And if I could deny Thee
I'd have no life to say
For You have come and taken me
Though here I do remain
You have come to carry me
When all I feel is pain
