The Depth of Your Love1

The Depth of Your Love1

A Poem by Donald Cole
"

A poem of surrender, It's words carry much more than they appear.

"
I'll cross any ocean for You
I'd walk the depths of hell
For I know the promises you've given me
It took so long to tell

The message of Your love came through
And finally reached to me
And now I see my home with You
That for so long I wouldn't see

For the promise of Your love
To bring me back to You
For the promise of Your love
to bring me to walk with You
Be my guide and be my strength
May my heart remain true

My life the wall that broke me
to lead me into Your will
Your song I sing within me
For my heart You'll always fill

You've always been there for me
when I would let You be
And even when I thought You weren't
You were carrying me.

The love burning within now
From my beginning to my end
I'm learning to share Your love now
On You my life depends

For the promise of Your love
To bring me back to You
For the promise of Your love
to bring me to walk with You
Be my guide and be my strength
May my heart remain true

I wrote this song a couple weeks ago ( that was nov, 2007. while I was driving home without my children. this song seemed to be a pinnacle turning point between chosing the path of self destruction versus the path of self construction, and I learn, and I grow, and I love. Don
