Slow Rain

Slow Rain

A Poem by Donald Cole
"

A poem that has two versions. It is sparked by a conversation with an Ordinary Woman(http://www.writerscafe.org/writers/An%20Ordinary%20Woman/ you should be able to find it there also. It is her poem. I just woke up at this unGodly hour and wrote my part

"

Slow Rain,

The kind that cleanses the soul

Slow Rain,

The kind that comes to make us whole

It brings to us the peace we need

To bring us through our life indeed

Leads us through our hour of need

Washing away the winters of our heart.

Slow Rain

That brings our slow closer to God above

Slow Rain,

That fuels our desire to feel His love

Takes the pain from our heart

That brings to us a brand new start

Gives us hope that'll never part

Our loves becomes His work of art

Slow Rain,

That brings our soul to once more sing

Slow Rain,

That gives our hearts, the love we bring

To share Gods love in everything,

Slow Rain,

That washes away, my sin from me

And keeps me closer to God, so I can see

How He is and will always be

A light on my dark path to be free,

Slow Rain,

He uses to cleanse away my world of pain

Shows to me my joy again

And shelters me from the world when...

Slow rain,

Gives my soul back to me.

How beautiful and peaceful from first line to last, I tried and couldn't but maybe later I'll manage one too.

This was nice to wake up to, indeed. Thank you. Smiling ...
