A Closer Walk With Thee

Searching my own truths to bring me where I am.

i search my truths
of this world to be
I open my heart
for all to see
I search my feelings
To find what is real
for so many things there are
that I am led to feel
All I know
And all I've known
are what's within
That I've been shown
I seek myself
throughout my pain
And I am weakened
Again and again
And what I find
I seek no more
because my life
Is not like before
I learn and grow
And carry on
Live for my Lord
Until I am gone
I try to share
just what I may find
Try not to live
In this world so blind
What it is I go through
That makes me so very weak
Actually give me more strength
than of which I could ever speak
So I walk within my weakness
Willing to go the length
And rely upon My faith in Him
And pray to Have His strength
To get me through the very day
That otherwise would be the end of me
and I learn to be the best man I can
With a closer walk with Thee.
