The Line Between

The Line Between

A Poem by Donald Cole

The line between your world and mine
So Far for me to reach
Still I'm reaching out to you
For it's just a wall to breech
The line between your smile and mine
Though held so far away
Still this smile reaches me
And my world becomes ok
The line between your life and mine
So far and yet so near
For so much I am drawn to you
Though still remaining in my fear
The line between your body and mine
So far crossed only in this dream to be
My body trembles to think of you this way
When all of you, becomes all of me
The line between your feelings and mine
Only defined by what words would say
Yet how you share them across this world
The way I know to walk the right way
The line between your hope and mine
That stretches across the world wide
That leads me to believe in you
And share that in me, what it holds inside
The line between your heart and mine
A line thats crossed by few
To capture love thats felt so strong?
Could be shared by me and you
The line between your love and mine
That knows there is a way
For it relies on all thats come before
To become real enough to stay
The line between your soul and mine
Was never really a line after all
For already connected in this universe of ours
Yet only in this world in love to fall
Just our bodies together here
The rest has already been
So when I find you in my world
We'll just become one, again
I'll give to you, all of me
As we then could walk as one
The story of our happiness
Now is only begun
