When World's Collide

If I could go through my every day
And feel you in my heart
I’d surely know, I’m sure to grow
In the love contained in my heart
Sometimes it gets so lonely
And I’m not sure which way to go
So I seek the dream within my mind
Of the love I want to know
And I begin to realize
With a smile more than skin deep
And I become aware of my feelings inside
They are the ones I long to keep
And as I start my day with you
And maybe see you through its end
I’ll see my world inside out
And love, I don’t have to pretend
For my mind would seem to wander
To try to reach to you
While my heart, with its gentle glow
Feels the little things you do
I acknowledge all I have in me
And wrestle to find what’s true
I consider all the love that’s shared with me
For I only dare to dream
And I walk this little path with you
And I remember where I’ve been
So in this jumbled mess of mine
Only part of me comes clear
And I pray to know which way to walk
And wonder if I’ll find you near
For in this little world of mine
I can create anything
And I begin to build this world of mine
Not knowing just what to me, you’ll bring
The miles that keep you far from me
That I cannot walk alone
I look in you and search in me
To find this place called home
And I seek this love before me
Just as I’ve always done
For a foundation to build a dream to share
Is built by two, not just one
So I seek you in my world
Knowing only God will see
And hoping that He will guide my feet
To the world of you and me
I know my heart won’t waiver
The one thing in my life that’s true
How can I know you dream of me?
Not by the words you’ll say, but in the things you do
It’s not so far to my world
It’s yours that’s hard to reach
Would we find us climbing the hills together?
To face the walls that we must breach
Will I walk into this dream alone?
Or will I feel you walk with me
I only hear you call my name
As I start to look around
For only by walking together
Can we grow in what we’ve found?
I’ll only know to reach to you
By how you reach my way
And love, the gift of God we’d share,
Will grow, or fade away
So I’ll just watch you in your world
Until you, in my world I feel
For love is only a seed that hopes to grow
And takes two people to make it real
And if we want to walk together
We’ll know by watching the things we do
And we’ll find ourselves become one under God
Or our world will remain as two
So I pray that I feel you in my dream
Knowing what we both want will be
And I’ll pray you find me in your dream
And that God light our path to see
For I’m walking in my world alone
And I can only see my path to you
With the light of feelings you’d share with me
And the love I’ll feel in the things that you do...
