God's Promise

 

The day that God created you

I know it is I He had in mind

Now all my years what I've been looking for

In you I've come to find

When He counted the stars in heaven

And left the sparkle in your eye

For me to see and to believe

I need no reason why

For I don't even have to reach to you

And I feel you reach to me

And you've given me the same pieces

That my heart does give to thee

God knew what you would mean to me

Before your eyes could see the world

And now I find my love does grow

And I want you to be my girl

I haven't a clue how this will be

All I have I offer you

Though not much that you could see

Will, through God remain true

For Love, built on a promise of forever

God’s promise is what we'll see
