If I could only reach your heart

I wonder what you’d do

Would I find you in my heart?

Would you be someone who’s true?

Would you reach to me to feel?

A love that’s seldom found

Could I look at you forever?

Forever would you stick around?

I don’t want a little while

If I were to walk your way

Were we to end up side by side

For always, I want you to stay

Seldom is found friendship

That could mean so much more

My past has made me really look

At what I’d found before

And brought me to this place I am

And filled my heart with love

And I feel the gifts that only come

From my God who lies above

A dream that I only hold to share

For alone it won’t come true

And so I reach into your world

And ask myself about you

For I feel the way you reach to me

And I see how it leaves me wanting more

So I pray my God will answer me

And show me where’s the door

To reach a dream that’s inside me

Just waiting to be real

I know my heart, and all I have

Through all the things I feel

For the friendship that I hold so dear

And the way you bring to me

Thoughts I hold and feelings I cherish

For it is you that lets me see

And I’m left to wonder

Just what you hold inside of you

And If I show you what’s in my heart

I wonder what you’d do
