Crimson Tide

Crimson Tide

A Poem by Donald Cole
"

a reflection

"

I live along a crimson tide
Tis neither here nor there
All the feelings I cannot hide
Remain with no one, with no one to share
Not that I haven’t been looking so
For all of this time I’ve tried
My world falling together now
Through the many tears I’ve cried
I've given me the chance now
Sometimes I can only carry on
And what it is that sometimes seems so lost
Will never really be gone
For all of the feelings remain with me
And I keep my world within
And wait for someone to sing along too

For a new life to begin
The world falling apart around me
I fall together just the same
And at the end of the day I see myself
And I’m tired of the silly game
So I step back around my core
And the world I'll hold at bay
For you just won't know unless you want to
And all you’ll come to know is what I say
I’d build my dream around you
And I'll hold my hope to be
My eyes will only look ahead now
The stains the world has left on me
Shaped me into the man I have come to be
Given so many colors to the dream inside
So I'll walk forward until I find you here
Walking with me, away from the crimson tide.

Beautifully written Don and I wish you to find your angel soon. Please hang in there ... I am doing the same.
