Song From Job

Song From Job

A Poem by Donald Cole
"

A song that leads me through the pain

"

How do I keep my eyes on you

When they are full of tears

How would I find rest in the pain

I still feel through the years

What am I gonna do this time

When I wake to another day

And I can't seem to find the words

When I fall on my knees to pray

I'll lift up my hands to you

In offering you all of me

Lord Jesus here, my spirits weak

Longing to be set free

Now I'm holding fast to nothing here

And my faith remaining true

I'm seeking my way through this dark night

Jesus, till you bring me home to you

Humble is where I'm standing

Hope is what I'll need, You know

To the edge of love, with God above

The one place left to go

Jesus, in You is where I stand

I listen for your call

Mine eyes, I'll train to look to You

To keep me from the fall

I'm longing for you in each day

Help my heart stay true

Let nothing I pray, get in my way

Keep me on my path to You

Don C.
