What Matters Most

Not sure if I like this yet

The one thing in life that matters

Comes from what you have to leave behind

The love that comes from those around us

Is all we get to find

When you look behind you

Do you find regret?

Do you dread running across

The people you had met?

Or has your world been a blessing

And someone shared that same love too

When your days are over

How will they remember you?

For this will last forever

Have you taken in your time?

Or have you been a giver

Set apart from the blind?

Have you made that difference?

It's seen in the love you get

And if you can know this

Then it's not over yet

For in life, what we get doesn't really matter

Except the one gift we receive

For the blessings are the gift of God

If you really would believe

What matters most is what you give

Thats how relationships are defined

In hopes my world touches yours

To make a friend in mine

May you make a difference

With a heart thats true

And as long as you love, remember its what you give

And while you give, God bless you
