Big Cat's Game

Big Cat's Game

A Poem by devon

He was in her biology class,

And she noticed his smile.

She was in his history class,

And he barely noticed her.

He asked to borrow a pencil

That went unreturned, but

She didn’t seem to notice after he’d

Asked to borrow her time on Friday night.

Many Friday nights later,

After much borrowed time,

He asked to hold her heart;

She never did get that pencil back.

So, the lion sought after the lamb

Who had yet to feel the rush of the race.

So, the lamb became prey for the lion

Who had plenty of antelope to chase.
