For My Friend Jen

A person I met at Starbucks Jennifer has been more than just a barista that served coffee, she became a friend always so kind, even showing concern back when I was sick when she didn't have to.

We are given many

         Gifts in life,

Some we recognize

         Many taken for granted.

I am no

         To that human flaw,

But when it comes to

         People that enter my life,

I always count them

         As a blessing in disguise.

Whether lifelong influences

         Or temporary tattoos,

Everyone of them

         Are of importance to me.

Our moments were just

         Minutes at a time,

But your kindness and smile

         Will be an infinite memory.

As you journey off

         Into your new life,

I wish you all the happiness

         That a lifetime can bring.

For you will always be a

Permanent piece of the puzzle

That makes my soul complete

         And I will be eternally grateful…

 

So what can I say but my friend you will be missed

And forever a part of the man I strive to be.

My friend Jennifer is getting married and moving away to start her new life so I wanted to write a dedication to her for always being so wonderful to me.
