A Rabbit And The Golden Egg

 

Tis no luck for the rabbit

That gave up his hop

So someone could put

A little luck in their fate.

 

A golden egg

Has no greater value

Then one dyed in spring colors,

Yet some would sell their farm

To get the goose

That might lay a golden egg.

 

Adults tell children

That fairytales are a waste of time

Then turn around

To injure a rabbit

And expect him to deliver an egg

That isn’t worth a dime.

How expectations are raised at times..I sometimes wonder the damage done...we can only hope the children of our tomorrows are wiser than us in some ways and evolve to prefer those spring colours over gold :)

oh yes, we will do anything to get rich...including playing god to change natural birth in a rabbit...to try to get it to lay golden eggs...

i myself like the old fairytales...and never felt they were a waste of time.
