I Believe

I Believe

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

Finding the positive

"

The flame in my eye

Becomes a ring of fire

That surrounds my heart

With kind warm emotions

Every time I see her.

It gives me the strength

To ride on for what I believe

And my faith breathes a sigh.

The candlelight in her eyes

Flickers with hints of blue

From heartaches of yesterday

Yet I still see a red glow

Of devotion and loyalty

To the one her heart burns for

And now I believe again

That love does exsist.

It's always great to find something postive to have faith to go on

instead of the negative emotions which bring the fears and doubts~

that stifle us in our tracks~Great WritE!! my friend~FranMarie

For me it is the opening lines, that I find the most alluring... to know that just the sight of someone causes such desire, no matter how often it happens.

Nice meter and prose.

This is beautiful Dale. I enjoyed the flow and easy cadence in the piece. Great job with this one.

ahhhhhhh... I'm hoping the one her heart burns for is referring to you!? Or you are seeing how devoted and in love this woman is to her man and it gives you hope that such a love is out there for you? Either way.. beautiful, hopeful, and full of love.

The imagery in this brings the whole poem alive and it simmers with a strong sense of emotion and passion. I'm so happy to be reading your work again. You have a knack for bringing lust, love and emotion alive. Great write.

Omg Dale this really is such a beautifully tender piece... for I was once lost but now I am found, now lying within the arms of love. Isn't is great discovering all those emotions again? Just like a new born, learning and experiencing something new everyday.

Amazing piece, I loved it!

It is so wonderful when the dead in you is awakened by someone
instead of something. Incredible write.

It does make me happy to see a love going right poem. :)

I kind of wish more of it was sensory imagery, instead of coming out and saying what is what. I think it could make us ponder and reach within ourselves a bit more.

Doesn't mean it's bad.

Keep writing. :)

Such majetic writing. We really creates a timeless image of the strong and rugged cowboy (since that's the image I had) strengthened by his love.
