what a night/lost memory

what a night/lost memory

A Poem by dead poet 79

He scratchs his head.
Confusion is all around.
What happened last night?
He picks up his phone
Number called
And texted
That he does not recognized.
Picks up his wallet
Debit card receipts
Everywhere
Even in the pockets
Of his jeans.
Begins to call his friends
The ones that he remembers seeing
They all tell the same story
Alot of drinking
Alot of shots
Drinking till the bars closed
They looked up for him,
But he was nowhere to be found.

"MY CAR?"

That is still in the parking lot
Of the last bar he was at.

Called a taxi to take
Him to his car.
When arriving at the car
There was a not under the
Wiper blade.
It read

"please come inside
when you return.
You need to pay your tab,
thanks mngmnt"

He walks into the bar,
The smell of stale cigarrettes
And beer fill the air.
Does not remember this place.
Soon, a man comes from out of the back.

"Hey buddy
How are you feeling?
You really put it on last night."

"I dont really remember anything
Of last night."

"Dont blame you,
You drank enough for
5 guys."

"How much is my tab?"

"Well, with all the shots
And everything its around
$700. And thats after that lady
Paid $200. She promised
You would leave your car here
And could pay it in the morning."

"What lady?"

"The one you left with"

(blank stare on his face)

"Boy, you really did get fucked up
Last night"

They talked a bit,
Trying to figure out who the woman was
Then he put the bill on his
Credit card.

What a night
That has already left

His memory
