The Story of Kate: Nightmares Begin

The Story of Kate: Nightmares Begin

A Poem by dead poet 79
"

Part 6

"

Kate began to have nightmares
She was struggling with a man.
Could not see his face.
He was hitting her
Tying her up
The room she was in was
Dark, very dark.
Then Kate would wake up
In a cold sweat, heart pounding.
This occured every few nights.
Same dream over and over
Kate never told Ester or Thomas
About her dreams, and lack of sleep.
But, Edter could tell something was wrong.
One night, while sitting outside
Ester asked, " Are you sleeping alright?"
"Actually, Ester, no, Ive been having
These dreams. They are horrible,
And keep me awake."
"Ill make you some tea,
It should help with the nightmares."
That night, after drinking the tea
Kate sleeped through the night
She awoke the next morning
Feeling better than she had in weeks.
"What was in the tea? I slept great."
"Oh, just an old family remedy."
Kate drank the tea every night
After that.
