heartbeat thief

heartbeat thief

A Poem by patchwork.boy

stuck like paste
with my heavy frame
weighing on the lids
screwed on blurry became

weights falling
piano off a building
held by balloons
floating in gilding

fuzzy, dizzy days
consistently clag covered
body begging for break
but knowing never recovered

brightness out the curtains
slump and crumble away
forget for some hours
it's always been a long day

flying, fading, falling
such sickly sweet relief
whisper a yearning wish
for a heartbeat thief

Creatively imagined. Desperately needing.

Good read

With love,
