Me? A dreamer?

Me? A dreamer?

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

When I was a child I dreamed of what and who, I wanted to be.
A dancer, a singer, a writer of poetry and prose...all of those.

When I was a young girl, I read hymn books and I would sing for hours,

following notes and dance on my tip toes, across the room

...

Such a romantic notion I had, to one fine day meet

a wonderful handsome beau, handsome like my dear sweet old dad,

All grown up now as I wonder if my sweet mama ever knew,

I wanted to be so much like her, dance and sing to my hearts content,

on stage be it broadway or burlesque, I dreamed of giving it my best

, I dreamed of fame and success! I was a dreamer!
