Mel was my addiction

Mel was my addiction

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

M y husband Mel was my addiction

Y ou wouldn't believe how hooked on him I was

A n addict of love

D evoted to his every need

D emented by his greed

I  was hooked

C aused my heart

T o bleed

I  thought I couldn't go

O n living without him

N ot for a day

T he abuse he dished

O ut I took for over fifteen long years

M y body ached from the blows

Y ou would have thought he was a prize fighter

H ell, I was his punching bag

U nsure of myself and so insecure

S o used and abused but I kept going

B ack for more

A nd everytime I'd forgive him

N eeding his love so desperately

D eliriously Addicted

This is disturbing to me and really gnaws at my insides when I hear of this type of abuse. What the hell is wrong with these guys, these are the ones I would love to be put in the ring with.

Ok, Ok. sorry about that.

Yes poetry is a way of release, I use it every day and our poems of reality brought up from the soul are our best. You my dear, write these very well A+ on this one and I'm sorry you had to be one of many that have delt with this.

Its my understanding your are a survivor and have moved on.

Thank you for sharing part of you with all of us.
