Pondering Nature

Memories old and new
Keep swarming in my head
Tantalising my senses
And keeping me on my toes.

I try banishing them
But it takes all my strength to just ignore them
Even when the memories make me warm and safe.

I think to myself
Soon, it will all be over and I can get back to the place
Where I truly belong
And I can be myself with few problems.
I just have to work for it within a few months.

The memories slide
Letting me relax and lull me to sleep
Where I can forget evrything for a few hours
And try to be at peace.

Soon, I shall be home
Surrounded by people I care about
And who care for me.
The thought leaves me peaceful
With a smile on my lips.
