What a Pickle

Life takes you everywhere...

I cannot help but wonder what it would have been like
If life had taken me in a different direction
And I hadn't faced all the trouble and the duress I feel I'm in.
Oh what a quandary it is to be facing this situation.

But then I think about all the people I've met
And the friends I've made and the good times I've had
With all the revelations about everyone else and the self-made discoveries.
Then I think if it was all worth it.

But as I sit with this ever-looming boredom
That's come upon me like a heavy blanket of mist
I cannot help wondering
What if?.....
