Instead of A Letter

Instead of A Letter

A Poem by demon_days

Dear X:

Unlike you, I never feel lonely.
I'm not afraid to end up alone.
I don't know if I know how to love
Or if I can take ever being loved.
I'm tired of apologizing for being me
Even when I'm tired of being me.
I don't care what anybody thinks of me
Or if anybody ever thinks of me.
The only thing worse than thinking too much
Is not thinking too much.

"I took a deep breath and
Listened to the old brag of my heart:
I am, I am, I am."

I really liked this. It carries the idea of not being controlled by what other people think. And it's simple, too - you don't burden the reader with really long names or anything. Very nice.

Very nice. A perfect way to say you moved on, and ready for another! Good Job!
