Pain is a constant lover/enemy. An addiction.

Pain,
Endless pain
Smothers me in its arms,
Loving me,
A constant companion,
Unwanted,
Yet never leaving,
Never deserting me,
Always faithful,
Always loyal,
A lover with a hateful touch,
A touch I have grown accustomed to,
A touch I hunger for,
That torturous caress,
It is my addiction,
My lover,
My enemy,
My fate
