I never asked for your money.

I never asked for your time.

I never even asked you for anything I knew you would never be able to give.

All I asked you for was the love I knew you had,

Even though at the time,

you might not have known that you had it yourself.

I know you were afraid,

I know you didn’t want to open up.

But I know you trusted me,

Before you could even trust yourself.

And you let me love you,

And eventually, you learned that you loved me too.
