Horizon

Horizon

A Poem by Dibbo

Strumming of the flamenco strings

Music in my ears

Someone behind a veil

A picture unseen

Flashes, visions, thoughts, dreams

Sometimes unreal, melancholy

Serene sky, stars calling

A new world across galaxies

Never a doubt, no apprehension

Happiness pristine

A different image comes into my mind when I read this. Compared to other poems I have been reading lately, this imagery I get is really unique. I like the "person behind a veil" because I generally don't interact with veiled people in my predominately white/black community. So, that being said, I really enjoyed serenity that I MYSELF felt when reading it. The flow was a little choppy for me, picky as I am. But in being choppy (as far as wording goes,) I like how the sensory details are given immediately and sets the scene.
