Voice

Voice

A Poem by DfWigley

Returning homeward
once more,
I looked across the sea
and watched seagulls flying
above silver dancing waters.

I stood on the beach
of my solitude,
the spray smarts my eyes
wetting my cheeks with tears.

The breaking waves
protecting me from the silence.

A breeze blows across the sand
and through my pain,
it takes my voice
and leaves me howling
at the moon.
