Death

Death

A Poem by Emily

Breath, why did you leave?
I need you more than ever,
Must strive to keep you

Silver threads dangle
Past my lips, luring away
The parts I hold dear

Seduction, art of
Perfecting my last decay
Into what? Wond'ring

Flesh turning to slate
I can sense my creeping fate
A slick, silent chill

She will sweep through you.
First sight fades, then hearing wilts.
Death finds one more mate.

Emotional Powder Keg: Brilliantly written: Flesh turning to slate: The metaphors and descriptions slap me with emotions. Slowly quiety you build: Beautifully written: Silver threads dangle past my lips: The visual and you keep building a momentum until finality and "Woman Death" (love it). You are so talented; Ominous feeling persists: One time I stopped with the usage of the word: Seduction, the art of perfecting my last delay: and said aloud WOOOOW! Thank you again Emily. Dale
