Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by THREE-SIX

The quiet world of the quiet of night
Darkness dares steal the need for sight
When all are asleep, I am here awake
Longing for the dawn soon not to break

Long past trying to mind my keep
My brain is shallow, but thoughts are deep
My mind's trying to put all things right
But I think it might take a darker night

Creeping is the sound of silence in whole
Deep within the shadows of my dusty soul
Against this endless night of infinite infinity
Persistent in its maddening maniacal Insanity

Escape is despising me, un-wanting to hear
The coldness shivers within my internal fear
As desperation turns into a wanton despair
The dark does seep into my skin and my hair

Frozen in place by my wickedly thoughts
Laughing at misplaced dumbfounded glee
Swimming in pools of black liquid fire
To catch something so secretly free…

The night does call out to me for my attention
And my thoughts are recalled into retention
Blackened lust begs for my body, touching my skin
So let me embrace you with my darkest of sin…
