Self-Portrait

If I were to draw myself
The lines would go off the page
My stomach would be so round
So bold and fat
that there would be no room

If I were to paint myself
the desk would accumulate splotches of paint
because my figure
would protrude the boundaries of paper

If I were to build myself
I wouldn't find enough clay
And I would remain
unfinished
for all to see and laugh at

If I were to truly look at myself
As I have cowardly avoided
who knows what I would see

And if I were to contemplate my very existence
hatred would drive me
to write a poem
called "Self Portrait"

This is the first draft. I really want to improve this poem. Please give me some feedback on how to make it better!

The poem is good altogether. The thing is that this part seems to need some modifications:

"My stomach would be so round
So bold and fat
that there would be no room"

As a reader, I would ask: no room for what? I really think you're good. All you have to do is find the right choice of words to do it. I hope that helps. :)
