The Pandemonium FortressA Poem by Gerhardus Retief
Just south of heaven.
North of hell. Its what lies in between. Where miracles choke on gasoline. Reminded of yourself. Now your standing in the last. Standing fortress's between heaven and hell. After a wicked experience of life. Comes the path of your last salvation. Its not enough to have a piece. You always wanted the whole damned thing. Now standing between the gates. Between heaven and hell. Your head throbbing bloody choices. Has to be made making the hunger bigger. Making you unbelievably and thundering nervous. Pretending that the close are closing. When their not even moving anywhere. It bleeds like a new disease. Change your mind of where you want to go. As a path of bones lead downward. And a road of gleams falling upward. It was wrong Of them to take it from you. As the fallen angel Gabriel awaits you. Trying to sell your cold soul bribing you. In black and white erupting from you. Some hopes were stupified in their tracks. Some of them are kept for retrieval. Watching them plan an annihilation. Thinking that you are breaking down. Realizing slowly its not what they are doing. That worries you its who you have to support. In the trappings of blemish filth. Having yourself as a sinner in the night. Also being told that your a Saviour. Confuses and breaks the sanity of you. Not wanting to leave the walls of the fortress. Clinging onto a eternity of pandemonium. Remember not to count to infinity twice? Opening your mind to everyone. Savored the blocked will In you. Remembering the day you were struck. Loving the dark purity of the wind here. Hating the cold shiver running down your spine. Holding the golden warmth in your heart. Admiring your rock hard pride. Hearing hauntings twisting the sky Quakes shaking the ground you hover about. All for nothing you sacrificed. Ripping at your eyes. Hoping you would see. How much you have given for this answer. © 2011 Gerhardus Retief |
