ForgivenA Poem by Gerhardus Retief
I overlooked the word in the dictionary.
Fading forward forgiving fading failures for forever. You are already forgiven because my eyes deceived me. You taught me mistakes out of hurtful outbreaks. Given me a chance to reconfigure the broken bolts in my life. There is no more room in the four clovered rooms in my heart for hate. I was buried alive in a vengenating sandpit. There torture tainted the testament to thy tongue. It became my art, my masterpiece and my own creation. You reminded me through pain that there is more to life. No need to change myself for anyone I would rather just have to die with a smile. I'm glad this moral war has come to an sacred ending. I am no slave this is why you must be feeling so brave. She sang so semi slowly so she stays sorrowfully. My sleeves have been pulled over my throat to choke my pride. I cant care if you like it or not just so you know you will stay in a unknown grave forever to me. Complications are bound by the song that people will sing to remember you. Peace be with your restless conscience to find a little bit of forgiveness. © 2011 Gerhardus Retief |
