Deliver the predictableA Poem by Gerhardus Retief
Looking for a color to put the ashes in the burning promise.
Where are the ones that will alter our minds? Show me the determined ones to release our poisonous locks. To deliver a message that was never in a sinking bottle. Do I want to know why I want my innocence to die? Its something to hide when there is no one to deliver you from interest. Too blinded to see how the betraying birth marks clear from the shallow lie. Please forbid this toy box I slowly generated to be banned from being forbidden forever. Pin those needles slowly into the face that judges my mimics to even all the odds. How do I carry the torches that everyone has to look up to? Not even a light burden to ignore the shame in the ocean that I started swimming in. The dawn will swallow the world in darkness once again with only a wicked smile. So many voices that can drench my sorrow in a black flame. I just don't want to be left in my own image I scarred the unkind to rule me. Never know for certain when will be the right chronic time. Fate is so false. when it comes to predicting everything Why then am I still standing in this God forsaken line? Where are the symbols that will sooth and shape into every remembering wrinkle? © 2011 Gerhardus Retief |
