Fallen fantasy

Fallen fantasy

A Poem by Gerhardus Retief

Are you drawn in by the sounds of my vulnerability?
What do you want from me? I ask the world all around.
Those glass lips try to tell me to stand back instead they open a hollow doorway to lies.
I am in needing to kill my opposite twin just to be unoriginal.

Hear me, feel me, fear me for you awakened me on the wrong side of the mirror.
Cant hide this another time doesn't anyone know this isn't easy?
Why would my blood run dry when I was dead all the time?
Its just never enough to forget to regret the ambitious cloud that drifts in a hidden essence.

Smiling with ideas for the institutional at the mirror with a grin back at me perfects the true image.
Nobody can stop a delinquent if it doesn't have any friends of comfort.
The light in the day is just another dying screech that fades so easily.
Self discovery is one of the greatest mistakes for the splintered minded.

Now its about time to take this curse and turn it into a blessing.
Watch me disappear into the light to paint it with the night.
Where there is no boundaries of controlling who would want to remain a coward like that?
This fallen fantasy has made it's message clear.

Isolating the images as the multi personality restore their voices from my imagination.
Do we cry or laugh with our fear?
Some torture chambers wont be able to hold the ancestral words that I bear.
Secret thoughts inside the craving bolster but they will always hunger for more.
