The timeless battle of Heart and Brain

Murmurs of my heart

Are hard to ignore

Persistent as they are

They deepen ever more

 

Hope, love and dreams

Are spirited warriors

Who fight for their king

The “Heart” - Oh! forever glorious

 

Realizing the brain is smarter

They hatch a clever plan

Little do they know,

They are a naive clan.

 

They let it have its way -

The ferocious and mighty brain,

“Strategize all you want”

“Feed your ego” -  to the brain they say.

 

The brain soon begins

to contrive and cook up schemes

A will bring me benefit

Power resides in B and C

 

On and on, the game continues

Bit by bit, the illusions break loose

In ruins now, the brain is confused

In all elegance, warriors watch amused

 

Life is but a game, they know

It’s not win or lose, it's seek and grow

In every lost battle lies

A gone yesterday, a promising tomorrow

 

The best of foes and the best of friends

The heart and brain will battle again

Sometimes it’s good to enjoy the show

Sometimes it’s better to just let it go!

Short and sweet, and so very true.

S4 L3, you have a space that indents the line at the beginning
S7 L2, "its" should be "it's" to signify the contraction of 'it is'
