Excuse me, Mr. VIP

Excuse me, Mr. VIP

A Poem by Div
"

VIP(Very important person) represents a person who is in a position of power. This poem is from the perspective of the common man. It makes us wonder if we would be better off without these VIP's.

"

Five years ago when you came to power,

you promised that you would serve us every day, every hour .

All those hollow promises still ring in our ears

and now, after all these years, you have left us with nothing but tears.

You said that our grievances were yours,

but you have no idea of the pain and misery, the common man endures.

You guaranteed us free food, water and electricity,

but you violated our trust without a single ounce of pity.

All the money that we invested for a brighter future,

was deceitfully taken by you for your own expenditure.

In the form of scams and controversies, you have disgraced this democracy.

Over all these years, you have spread corruption and hypocrisy.

Once again you have started your march to power,

shamelessly promising to serve us every day, every hour.

All i ask of you is to leave us alone,to just let us be.

Excuse me Mr.VIP,excuse me.
