Betrayed

This poem is about how my best friend betrayed me. we got into an argument and she went and started telling people a secret that I told her.

You said I could trust you, so I did

You said you understand me, so I believed you

You said you would never lie to me, so I trusted you

But after one argument, I saw your true color. 

You deserted me, that's not loyal, that's not trust, you betray me.

So I can't trust you.

You went and told your sister my secret, a secret that was supposed to be just between us. After one argument and not just that, you change the whole story.

When I asked you if you told anyone, you said no, but your sister told me everything you said. You swear to me that you didn't tell anyone.

Friends are supposed to be loyal, trusting, and understanding. Not disloyal, and they don't betray.
