I will sing for my supper, Let me sing you a song; For a loaf and some cider, It won’t take very long.
I will sing you a ballad, For a few coins and meat; I will sing for a pittance, You will find my voice sweet.
I will sing for your comp’ny, Let me sing you a tune; My poor stomach is empty; I must earn something soon.
