Remembrance

Remembrance

A Poem by Donald
"

This a poem honoring a friend who passed away. No one should leave this world unnoticed, and with fond memories by those who considered him a friend.

"

To remember who has moved on,

to that next stage of life,

a friend is gone,

leaving a void in my strife.

Wonder if he is,

in the embrace of angels,

or faces the wrath of God,

I would rather think of the former than the latter.

To climb the ladder,

to heaven’s gate,

ready to receive a reward,

 of forever’s embrace.

That peaceful sleep,

lying there for all to see,

as he passed on for all eternity,

from this life for all time.

No proper way to grieve,

of what he has seen,

or is this what was meant to be,

from this life meant to be.

Was this act,

truly was the way he was to leave,

or just another dark fantasy,

of what life is to be.

Life eternal,

in this day and age,

another soul lost,

another life to be had.

What more is to be said,

in this cruel world,

where countless wait,

to go to heaven’s gate.

Remembrance,

is what’s to be,

who they were,

and what they are meant to be.

For life begins,

and soon it ends,

among friends,

forever to the end.

Forever gone,

until that point of destiny,

free of this mortal coil,

to begin again in eternity.

I use no names for this poem, it could be addressed to anyone who has lost that precious friend. For true friends do not judge on what he had done or seen. But remember them as they should be.
