Ancient feelings in the future to come

Ancient feelings in the future to come

A Poem by Paul A. Lyons

That old poem

Reminds me of that sweet sound you used to make,

As you looked up into my eyes and smiled,

Waiting for me to profess my love close to your ear,

While wildly holding me close to your body,

Not letting go for even a small instance.

The serenity of the moment

And your loveliness

The stillness surrounding us

Impeding time to continue its journey

While the stars an the moon gazed at us

Pouring their infinite glow

Slowly,

Down to us

Fusing our souls into one mere being, who luminously

Fires up and back down into ashes,

Ready to start over and over

Until our bodies give up on us

All the moments we spent together

Shall stay in my mind for the years to come

Till death brakes me down

And even then you will travel with me

The memory of our love

Will stay close to me

As I prepare my self to go back to nature

And once the cycle is completed

My place, in this world

Will blossom into thousands of roses

Shinning and smiling at their viewers

Letting them know that

Far down beneath

Love lives

And that love

Will be ours
