Writing is often the only place where I feel my words are heard, and not just listened to.

They feel lost

Lost in a sea of nonsense
Where people place their value
In memes and self-deprivation

Where we are all hurting
But no one speaks
And no one listens

They feel forgotten

Forgotten in the wave of life
Where people are going so fast
We don’t have time to slow and listen

Where we are all wanting
But no one works for it
And no one helps

They feel useless

Useless in the ears they’re spoken to
Where people may listen
But they don’t truly HEAR
